Octavia "Tav" Treadway is the Founder and Co-Executive Director of Someone Great.
Tav is a Christian, Wife, Teenage Mother, Mom of 3, Entrepreneur, Fractional COO and Purpose Doula and Birth Doula.
Tav has been an unofficial doula for years, supporting her cousins and friends as they birthed their beautiful babies.
Tav's official doula journey started in January of 2018. She left her corporate America job to find her purpose and contemplated the things that were most important in life...women and babies. Doula training was the obvious next step.
The learning journey created a sense of urgency to ensure all women understand their bodies and their power and You're Carrying Someone Great was born.
Danielle Buckner is the Co-Executive Director of You’re Carrying Someone Great. Danielle is also a professionally trained birth doula who believes in service and community.
Danielle's efforts of creating awareness and shedding light on the deficits in Black maternal health is what drives her passion to serve families through birth work.
Danielle's biggest accomplishments to date are becoming a mother to a brilliant daughter, a wife to an amazing husband and a birth doula.
Sierra Leone' Dillard's a Minneapolis, Minnesota born and raised Proud Black Woman. Sierra is a mother of six beautiful children whom she loves with every bone in her body. Her passion is for women, children and families and most importantly how to keep them together. She enjoys working with clients, students, diverse populations, youth and community organization to help develop ways to tap into the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being.
Sierra spent three years as a Doula for Incarcerated women which taught her to bring extra love and light along with her. She also believes that as a birthing person one has the power and control to create their own "birth plan" by reminding themselves that "you got this".
Some of Sierra's accomplishments are that she is a 9 years Certified Doula, Certified Lactation Counselor, Mentor, Yoga Instructor, and Motivational Speaker.

Benny is a St. Paul Rondo legacy resident, husband, father, community leader, and artist.
Benny Roberts joined the inaugural board of Someone Great because of his passion for youth, experience of being a father, and beneficiary of doula services. Having a doula prepared Benny to better serve his wife Jaralyn during her pregnancy with their daughter, Jayla.
This information was valuable to Benny feeling prepared to be a father, but equally important in being a supportive husband. Benny has a passion in life for restoring dignity to marginalized people, empowering youth, and helping to build men up through encouragement and mentorship- when those things happen well, women are treated with the respect and with the love they deserve, families can work towards being whole, and our society thrives.
Benny will work to contribute to the board in many ways; first by being a learner and listener, second by developing the Daducation programming, and also utilizing his executive experiences and years in non-profit and community development work to support the SOG leaders.
